Along with the influence of Warsaw, I also loved some of the early SoCal bands such as Saccharine Trust, Social Distortion (c 1980) and The Minutemen. White Wreckage was also a skate band, and the intro to this combined the SoCal/skate energy (for me, at least) and the second half picked up with whatever you want to call it.
What am I singing about? It's simple: simply changing one's appearance doesn't necessarily change the person on the inside. This was a real big issue back then. Is it now? Maybe.
