A song about how material wealth, and the falling short of collecting such, basically builds more violence into our society. Not that I'm anything resembling a communist or believe that wealth should be leveled and equalized; but sometimes there's a little too much emphasis on it.
This is one of those songs that I never quite got the words to where I wanted them. Most of White Wreckage was like that but it seems to work anyhow.
Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
